# Private branches for partners

By Steven Van · 2026-10-07

Approved partners can keep a branch and its chat visible only to themselves, with changes appearing on main for everyone after merging.

Approved partners using [Base44](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/base44>) can now keep client work visible only to themselves while they build, according to the [October 7 announcement](<https://docs.base44.com/changelog/product#october-7-2026>).

## Privacy during the build

Partners can make a branch private when they create it. Only the partner can see that branch and its chat.

## Sharing the changes

When the private branch is merged, its changes appear on main for everyone.
