# Imported apps follow their own AGENTS.md rules

Base44 now checks AGENTS.md rules in imported GitHub apps before editing code.

On apps imported from GitHub, [Base44](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/base44>) now reads the AGENTS.md files along the path it is working in and follows the rules it finds there before making any edits.
