# You can now set an effort level on a Claude Managed Agents agent's model configuration

You can now set an effort level on a Claude Managed Agents agent's model configuration. Pass effort inside the model object when you create the agent.

Anthropic has shipped several updates to Claude Managed Agents on the [Anthropic](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/tools/anthropic>) platform, covering agent configuration, webhooks and session creation, detailed in the [July 22 release notes](<https://platform.claude.com/docs/en/release-notes/overview#july-22-2026>).

- Agents can now have an effort level set on their model configuration, passed inside the model object when the agent is created.

- Webhooks now cover the environment and memory store lifecycle, with four environment event types and three memory store event types, so developers can react to those changes without polling.

- New sessions can be seeded with up to 50 initial events (user messages or defined outcomes) at creation, which starts the agent loop in the same call instead of requiring a separate request.

- The version field used when updating an agent is now optional: include it for optimistic concurrency checks, where a mismatch returns a 409 error, or omit it to apply the update unconditionally.

- Session thread event streams now support event deltas.
