# We've added the agent-memory-2026-07-22 beta header By Steven Van · 2026-07-02 We've added the agent-memory-2026-07-22 beta header, which changes how listing memories (GET /v1/memory\_stores/{memory\_store\_id}/memories) behaves… [Anthropic]() has added an **agent-memory-2026-07-22** beta header that changes how the Claude API lists memories from a memory store, via the [GET /v1/memory\_stores/{memory\_store\_id}/memories]() endpoint. - Results come back in a stable, server-defined order, and the order\_by and order parameters are ignored. - The depth parameter only accepts 0, 1, or being left out; any other value returns a 400 error. - path\_prefix must end with a slash and now matches whole path segments rather than any substring. Page cursors issued before adopting the header don't work once it's added, so developers switching over need to restart pagination from the first page. On memory store endpoints, the new header replaces managed-agents-2026-04-01, and sending both returns a 400 error; on July 22, 2026, managed-agents-2026-04-01 will pick up the same list behavior anyway. The Python, TypeScript, Go, Java, Ruby, PHP, C#, and CLI SDKs already send agent-memory-2026-07-22 by default on memory store calls.
