## What is OpenDesign?

OpenDesign, by Powerformer, is an open-source desktop app for macOS and Windows that turns coding agents into a design engine. Point it at any of 21+ agents (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini and more), pick or import a design system, and describe what you need: it produces prototypes, websites, slide decks, dashboards, marketing images and HTML video that stay on-brand, with a live sandbox preview you can edit. It also converts designs, screenshots and Figma files to code.

Everything is local-first and stored on your machine. The app is free under Apache-2.0, with 93.5K+ GitHub stars and 400+ contributors; the only cost is the API usage of whichever model provider you choose.
