# Nova-3 Multilingual Expands to 55 Languages and Adds Language Hinting Deepgram expanded [Nova-3 multilingual transcription to 55 languages]() and added [language hints](). It can transcribe audio that switches languages during a conversation, in batch or live streams. Existing model=nova-3&language=multi requests use the new model automatically. Add a language\_hint for each language you expect, such as English and Spanish, to bias detection. Responses include languages\_hinted with the normalized hints you supplied. To keep the older 10-language model, pin version=2026-01-27.9107 for batch or version=2026-01-27.9249 for streaming. The 55-language model and hints aren't available for self-hosted deployments yet.
