# Bitrig builds CarPlay apps in its own simulator

Bitrig now lets [you build CarPlay apps](<https://x.com/bitrig/status/2115126206962233537>) and test them in its own simulator without a CarPlay entitlement.

That applies only to Bitrig’s simulator. Running the app in Xcode’s simulator or a real car still requires the CarPlay entitlement and a paid Apple Developer account.
