# Use Bearly's models from your own code

You can now [call Bearly’s models](<https://bearly.ai/blog/use-bearly-models-from-your-own-code>) from your own code using the official OpenAI and Anthropic SDKs. Create a key under Developers → API Keys, then change the SDK’s base URL and API key. You don’t need a separate provider key.

The API is available on every Bearly account, with usage billed against your plan and credits. Requests go only to providers that have agreed to zero data retention. Managed team policies still apply, and administrators can disable API access.

Models use their supported API formats; Bearly doesn’t translate between them. Your own function tools work, but provider-hosted tools, images, embeddings, audio and fine-tuning aren’t available. Abandoning a streamed response still bills the full response.
