# Cursor MCP setup: mcp.json, one-click install links and OAuth

Unif API's [Cursor MCP setup guide](<https://unifapi.com/blog/cursor-mcp-setup>) covers mcp.json, OAuth sign-in and shareable install links, using its own server as the example.

You can configure a server globally or in a project. Cursor merges the files, with the project entry taking priority when names match. MCP tools work in Agent mode, and Cursor asks before running them unless auto-run is enabled for that server.

For Unif API, call\_api usage is billed per public-data record in workspace credits at $0.001 each. A new workspace needs its first top-up before making that call. Model tokens stay on your Cursor plan.
