# AMD agrees to acquire World Labs for about $8.2 billion

AMD has [agreed to acquire World Labs](<https://www.worldlabs.ai/blog/amd-announcement>), the spatial AI company behind [Marble](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/products/marble>), in an all-stock deal valued at approximately $8.2 billion.

The deal hasn't closed. The companies expect it to close by the end of 2026, subject to regulatory approval and other closing conditions.

World Labs co-founder Fei-Fei Li is expected to join AMD as executive vice president and chief scientist, while the team continues its model research.
