# New Block Kit layout block

Slack's new Block Kit layout block lets [you arrange content](<https://docs.slack.dev/changelog/2026/10/29/block-kit-layout-block>) in rows and side-by-side items within a message or view.

Existing section, image, actions, table, and other blocks can go inside its layout items. Choose narrow, standard, or wide sizing rather than specifying pixels. The grid stays inside a single block, and older Slack clients render the fallback blocks you supply.
