# Comment-only connections can retrieve their own bot user

Comment-only Notion connections can now [look up their own bot ID](<https://developers.notion.com/page/changelog#october-15-2026>) through [Retrieve your token's bot user](<https://developers.notion.com/reference/get-self>), GET /v1/users/me. These requests previously returned a 403 restricted\_resource error.

User information capabilities alone don't grant access to the endpoint. They control which owner details appear in the response; including the owner's email requires user information with email addresses.
