# Chat and asset sharing

[Replit added](<https://docs.replit.com/updates#chat-and-asset-sharing>) [chat and asset sharing](<https://docs.replit.com/updates/2026/10/23/changelog#chat-and-asset-sharing>) for selected teammates or your whole workspace.

Share a whole conversation or one asset on its own. A shared chat is read-only and includes its assets and development URLs, including later messages and assets. Sharing one asset doesn't grant access to the conversation or other assets.

[Recipients need a Replit account and membership in the originating workspace](<https://docs.replit.com/features/chats-and-routines/sharing>); copying or forwarding a link doesn't grant membership or additional access.

Development URLs open live servers, not isolated read-only previews. Check what the server exposes before sharing the chat.
