# Generate and edit images directly in Copilot GitHub Copilot can [generate and edit images]() from a chat request in VS Code, the GitHub Copilot app and Copilot CLI. Its image tool uses GPT Image 2.5 Flare, previews the result inline and saves it to your workspace. Image generation is in public preview for Copilot Pro, Copilot Pro+, Copilot Business and Copilot Enterprise. It's billed separately from the chat model, using image tokens that count toward your plan's AI credits. Organization and enterprise owners can disable the image model through policy. A visible “Made with AI” watermark is available as an opt-in setting and is off by default.
