Synthesys's [Seedance and Kling comparison](<https://synthesys.io/blog/seedance-vs-kling/>) weighs the choices for ads and short films using published specs and other people's tests. Synthesys hasn't run its own side-by-side test, and discloses that its Studio runs Seedance but not Kling's video models.

Seedance 2.5 makes clips of 4 to 30 seconds at up to 1080p, with up to 50 reference files and edits by timestamp. Kling 3.0 stops at 15 seconds but offers native 4K and controls for each shot's length, framing and camera. In Kling's app, 1080p and 4K require a paid plan.

Kling 4.0 was announced for a full launch in October 2026. At the time of the comparison, only Flash early access was open to Ultra yearly subscribers, with limits of 20 seconds and 720p.

API access has its own conditions. BytePlus requires a balance over $30 or a prepaid pack, and its services aren't available in the US. Its Seedance prices are token-based estimates for clips without video input; reference video raises the cost. Kling's prepaid packs start at $700 for 5,000 units, valid 180 days, and don't cover 4.0 yet.
