# Codex 0.159.0

Codex 0.159.0 adds an [opt-in instant\_interrupt setting](<https://github.com/openai/codex/releases/tag/rust-v0.159.0>). Turn it on to steer Codex with new input while it's responding or running a long code-mode call.

You can also scroll the transcript while deciding whether to implement a plan, and copying transcript selections preserves Markdown tables, formatting and significant whitespace. Windows launches no longer show stray console windows for MCP servers, code-mode hosts and piped commands.

Approved commands retain explicit filesystem denials, and .aws directories are protected by default under writable roots. This release also removes automatic follow-up prompt suggestions, the tui.prompt\_suggestions setting and the bundled plugin-creator skill.
