# ChatGPT Images 2.5 adds faster generation and precise edits

OpenAI says [ChatGPT Images](<https://creatorstoolbox.com/products/chatgpt-images>) 2.5 has [up to 50% lower generation latency](<https://openai.com/index/introducing-chatgpt-images-2-5/>) than 2.0, with better reference fidelity and more consistent untouched details across edits.

Sketch turns drawings into image references. The update also adds templates, image comments and shared prompts.

It's rolling out to all ChatGPT, ChatGPT Work and Codex tiers on web, desktop and mobile. Both API models are available: Flare prioritizes speed, while Sunburst offers greater editing precision with longer generation times.
