# New controls for Linear coding agent Linear's coding agent adds [adaptive routing](): simpler tasks go to a faster model, while more complex work uses the default reasoning model. If a task needs more capability, you can restart it on the default model and keep the original pull request for reference. Coding sessions can also access environment secrets during setup to fetch private dependencies and configuration. Open-weight model support starts with GLM-powered sessions; workspace admins and owners choose which models are available in Coding sessions settings.
