# The city of Vancouver is drawn

Isometric Vancouver now draws the [City of Vancouver](<https://vancouver.isoworld.xyz/>).

The map is one isometric illustration you pan and zoom in the browser. The on-map panel and the site's coverage file list 100% of City of Vancouver land, about 137.7 of 2,879 square kilometres of Greater Vancouver, which the panel calls 4.8%. The coverage file says the whole city is drawn except water, and that the 100% figure is capped because the summed frames run slightly over the reference area. Daniel, who publishes the map, says a few small areas are still open, including Spanish Banks, and that North Vancouver is next.

The how-it's-made note says the pictures start from Google's photorealistic 3D tiles, redrawn with GPT Image and a fine-tuned Qwen-Image model. Cars move on the real streets, but the traffic is simulated. The map is free to open. A Ko-fi link says donations pay for GPU time, and the fund file dated November 6 shows CA$0 raised and CA$0 spent.
