Higgsfield Global Film Festival winners announced

Higgsfield announced the winners of its Global Film Festival, a $1,000,000 AI film contest that drew 5,000 final films. The results were revealed in a YouTube premiere and are listed on the festival page, where each winning film has a watch link.

First place ($500,000) went to Meh by rococo_table_radical, about a gaucho whose routine keeps getting interrupted by a sheep that returns to his roof. Fukushima by aist took second ($200,000), and The Field Agent by zackmmurray took third ($100,000). Audience Choice ($100,000) went to The Tortoise and the Hare by benhamin. Ten Honorable Mentions received $10,000 each, and each film could win only one prize.

A jury of four filmmakers (Edwin Catmull, Phedon Papamichael, Paul W. S. Anderson, and Alex Proyas) picked the top three and the Honorable Mentions, judging on Directing & Storytelling, Visual Craft, Sound & Editing, and Originality & Concept. Audience Choice went to the film with the most valid votes from paid-plan users.

Alongside the results, Higgsfield also launched Higgsfield Talent, a separate creator support program. Its filmmakers are selected by the Higgsfield creative team.
