Eleven Realtime: Eleven Realtime is a new family of models for ElevenAgents voice agents

ElevenLabs is gradually rolling out Eleven Realtime across workspaces. These models bundle the LLM, speech-to-text and text-to-speech settings for an ElevenAgents voice agent. Your system prompt, voice, tools and knowledge base work as before.

Eleven Realtime v1 Mini is the default, which ElevenLabs describes as the fastest and cheapest option. Eleven Realtime v1 Max reasons before answering; ElevenLabs recommends it for complex instructions or multi-step tool calls.

For clients already built on OpenAI's Realtime API, the events and WebSocket transport stay the same. Change the endpoint and session configuration, then have your backend issue a short-lived client secret for the browser connection.
