Component slot defaults
Webflow lets you prefill component slots with defaults. Add a component to a slot on the main component, and it appears when someone adds an instance to a page. Updating the default also updates instances that still use it.
Marketers can swap the slot's components, reset it to the default, or clear it for an individual instance. Defaults accept components only. Components in CMS Rich Text show their defaults, but you can't edit slot content there.
The feature is available on all plans. Webflow expected it to reach all users by the day after its October 23, 2026 launch.
