Claude Duet research preview for Pro and Max plans

Claude Duet is a proactive agent app in research preview, with waitlist access for US Claude Pro and Max subscribers. It runs separately from the main Claude app, on iOS, Android and claude.ai.

It sends a morning brief from connected apps and checks them every few hours for items needing attention. You can hand over tasks by text or voice in an ongoing thread. Work runs on its own virtual machine and can continue while your devices are off.

Duet prepares work on its own but waits for approval before sending messages, making payments, signing documents or deleting anything. Trading securities and moving money between accounts are off-limits even with approval.

It shares Claude’s usage limits, including background checks. Anthropic says it can misread threads or urgency, is weaker at personal errands such as booking tickets, and can’t yet show its browser.
