Gemini can preview and edit files inside the chat

Gemini now lets you preview and edit files inside the chat, building on its existing downloadable file generation. Open a file full screen to type, or highlight a passage and ask Gemini to change it.

PDF preview and editing work on web and mobile. Google Docs, Google Sheets, slide decks, Markdown, TXT, and code are web only. The update is available to all users in every language where the Gemini app is available.
