Claude apps will run sessions in auto mode by default next week

Claude sessions on Pro, Max and Team plans are set to use auto mode by default across the web, desktop and mobile apps. Anthropic scheduled the change for the week after its October 22 announcement.

Instead of asking you to approve each step, auto mode uses an automated check to block actions it judges risky. You can switch back to manual approvals at any time.
