CSAM Screening Across OpenRouter

OpenRouter will screen all inference requests for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) during processing, including requests covered by Zero Data Retention (ZDR).

Content flagged as potential CSAM may be retained for human review, with reporting and preservation where required by law. A flag indicates suspected material, not a determination that it is CSAM.

For ZDR traffic, prompts and responses otherwise aren't retained after processing unless you explicitly choose storage. OpenRouter says the screening exception doesn't permit unrelated retention, and its commitment not to use inputs or outputs for model training continues. Individual model providers have separate screening and retention policies.
