Project Genie can now ground generated worlds in real US locations

Project Genie can now start a generated world from a real US location. Tap the Maps pin, pick a place and choose a style such as “Desert Sands” or “Ocean World.” Genie ties the starting point to real-world imagery.

A new Library lets you store, organize and revisit worlds, or remix favorites. You can also share worlds externally: anyone can watch a video preview, while Ultra subscribers can explore or remix them.

The updates are rolling out gradually to eligible Google AI Ultra subscribers globally, for users 18 and over.
