Genie 4 simulates worlds you can steer in real time

Google DeepMind's Genie 4 is a research preview for generated worlds you can explore and change in real time. DeepMind says the environments include sound and people who move, react, and speak. Keyboard controls move you around; natural-language requests can change the weather, camera, or objects while the world runs.

Access is limited to trusted testers, with a waitlist open. Google AI Ultra subscribers in Project Genie and early access partners of the Gemini API and Google AI Studio are next.

Sessions last a few minutes, details can drift, and real places aren't simulated perfectly. Real-time audio is still being improved. Video and audio carry a SynthID watermark.
