Gemini can check a file for Google’s SynthID watermark

Signed-in Gemini users can ask whether an image, video or audio file carries Google's SynthID watermark.

The check recognizes Google AI content only. It won't identify files made with another company's AI tools, and a missing watermark doesn't prove a file is human-made.
