Stripe to acquire OpenRouter for over $7 billion

Stripe has agreed to buy OpenRouter for more than $7 billion, according to Bloomberg. Stripe declined to comment on the report.

OpenRouter routes requests across 500+ AI models and 80+ providers, and already uses Stripe for its own billing. The reported deal would take Stripe further into AI infrastructure.
