Rate Limits for Runner and App Management

fal now limits app and runner management calls across the CLI, Python SDK, and REST API. Requests to app endpoints aren't affected.

Limits vary by operation: listing apps or runners allows 120 calls per minute, while stopping runners allows 60 calls per minute. Check the rate limits before setting up polling or batch management.

Rejected calls return 429 Too Many Requests through REST or RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED through the CLI and SDK. The x-ratelimit-reset header tells you how many seconds to wait. The CLI and SDK don't retry automatically, and a runner keeps running if its stop or kill call is rejected.
