Box element and expanded tag selectors

Webflow's new Box element lets you change an element's HTML tag without swapping the element. It replaces Div Block, Section, Container, Columns, Grid, V Flex, and H Flex in the Add panel. Existing elements keep working.

You can set a Box to tags such as section, nav, header, or footer, then use the expanded global tag selectors to style those tags across your site. The new selectors start empty, so they won't change your site's appearance until you edit them.

Box and the expanded tag selectors are available to anyone with the Designer role on any plan, including Free.
