Release notes for version 1.23.4b

Zen Browser 1.23.4b is out. It adds an updated OneCRL block list and fixes a batch of sidebar, window, and crash bugs.

Mozilla blocked compromised eMudhra intermediate certificates through OneCRL on October 17th and sent the blocks to clients through Remote Settings the same day. Zen now ships that block list inside the update. Clients will block the certificates even if Remote Settings is disabled by policy or unavailable on the user's network.

The other fixes:

  • The sidebar no longer hides while the mouse is still over it, and its scroll position isn't reset when you enter fullscreen.
  • Devtools now appear on glance tabs.
  • The Boosts zap bar pushes the web contents up when you activate it.
  • Multiple windows no longer launch on startup on Linux and Windows.
  • Windows no longer opens on the wrong monitor in multi-monitor setups on Linux.
  • Only one media bar shows when two or more tabs are using WebRTC.
  • Zen no longer crashes on Windows when you print or save a page as PDF while a screen reader or other assistive technology is running.
