GitHub Copilot app, Universe releases

Projects in the GitHub Copilot app are in public preview. You can give a project a goal, add repositories, design mocks or notes, and choose its models and tools. Repositories are optional. Copilot coordinates agents and brings back results for review, checking in when it needs input.

Project automations handle recurring work described in the project's conversation, including the task and schedule.

Computer use is also in public preview on macOS and Windows. Copilot asks for approval before controlling an app, and organizations can disable it. Enable it under Settings, then Computer Use; macOS also requires Accessibility and Screen Recording permissions.

The app is available on all Copilot plans. Projects remain subject to change during preview.
