GitHub Enterprise now includes access to GitHub Copilot

GitHub Enterprise Cloud customers working with a GitHub or Microsoft account team can get Copilot access without a separate seat charge for licensed users. Users without an Enterprise Cloud license can get the same access through Copilot Standalone at $10 per user per month.

Both have Copilot Enterprise features and models, subject to policy, but include no monthly AI credits per seat. Usage is metered from the first request against the enterprise budget. Code completion and next edit suggestions keep working when that budget runs out; Chat, code review and cloud features need available budget.

Admins must assign seats. An enterprise can't mix this access model with Copilot Business or Copilot Enterprise seats. Existing customers can transition voluntarily through sales, effective on the first day of a month.

Self-serve isn't available yet, and current self-serve subscriptions are unaffected. GitHub Free, GitHub Team and self-service Enterprise Cloud trials aren't eligible. Copilot Business and Copilot Enterprise remain available.
