Gemini in Chrome expands across Asia-Pacific

Gemini in Chrome is rolling out on desktop and iOS in Australia, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, and Vietnam. The iOS rollout excludes Japan.

You can use the assistant to summarize pages, compare information across open tabs, and work with Google apps, including scheduling Calendar meetings and drafting and sending Gmail messages.

The rollout also adds Nano Banana 2 image editing: describe a change in the Gemini side panel to transform an image on the web. Google says the assistant asks for confirmation before completing sensitive actions.
