Illustrator adds Generative Expand and one-click background removal

Illustrator 30.4 adds Generative Expand to extend images beyond their original edges, plus Remove Background to isolate a subject with one click.

Text made with Text to Vector Graphic can now be edited directly in the artwork without converting it to outlines or regenerating the asset. You can also give the tool a style reference image from your browser or device.

For Japanese typography, new Mojikumi and Kinsoku presets include BetaGumi and TsumeGumi, with controls for spacing, punctuation and line breaks. The update is available through Creative Cloud desktop.
