Claude renames Max 5x to Max and Max 20x to Ultra

Claude's Max 5x plan is now called Max, and Max 20x is now Ultra. Prices stay at $100 a month for Max and $200 for Ultra. Current subscribers don't need to do anything.

Claude is also removing the 5-hour limit for verified Ultra accounts, starting October 30, 2026, for most existing subscribers. Newer Ultra accounts keep a temporary 5-hour limit until they're verified and will get an email when it's removed.

Weekly limits stay unchanged. Max keeps its 5-hour limit.
