Why vector search isn't enough for coding agents

Graphify published a worked example showing how its code knowledge graph traces an expired timestamp to the exception it raises in the public pallets/itsdangerous repository.

The trace includes file and line references and labels each relationship EXTRACTED or INFERRED. EXTRACTED relationships come directly from the source; INFERRED ones are resolved by Graphify. The example includes an inferred connection that needs checking in the code.

Graphify's argument is that these dependency paths give coding agents information that similarity search alone doesn't provide.
